Only In Your Dreams (Gossip Girl #9)

Only In Your Dreams (Gossip Girl #9) - Cecily (Author) Paperback on 01-Jun-2006 (Notorious) By Von Ziegesar Everything about these books is starting to get redundant. The characters, the settings, parties, situations are all the same. There is no time in between the books so we pick up right where we left off but everything is rehashed and nothing changes by the end of the book except how close the characters are to college.

Tortall and Other Lands: A Collection of Tales

Tortall and Other Lands: A Collection of Tales - Tamora Pierce I always think I cannot love Tamora Pierce anymore but then she surprises me again and again. This book is a must have if you are a Tamora Pierce fan. Even so, I think these stories may be less clear if you have never read anything by Pierce before. These stories are wonderful. They are vivid and wonderfully written. I particularly enjoyed the story The Dragon’s Tale and Nawat. Many of the stories were set in Tortall or lands that Pierce has created which I obviously enjoyed because I love her stories. I thought the ones that were based on her own experience and set in the real world were equally as interesting though. I would love to read more short stories Pierce has written and if she ever releases more I will pick it immediately.

Body of Evidence

Body of Evidence - Patricia Cornwell I really like the Kay Scarpetta series so far. They are quick and easy while still being detailed and enjoyable. I enjoy the missing link or the missing clue that has shown up in this series. Cornwell has had her characters struggle to find a way for the murders to be happening rather than just focusing on who committed them. I thoroughly enjoy the fast pace of these books as well.

Street Magic (The Circle Opens, Book 2)

Street Magic - Tamora Pierce Tamora Pierce is always a great read but this one just wasn't my favorite! Her style is there and the characters are great.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - Seth Grahame-Smith SOME SPOILERS
I actually enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. I’m not sure what I was expecting but this story certainly wasn’t it. I read P&P&Zombies last year and enjoyed the author’s style. However, I was unsure how he would do creating a story of his own but I was not disappointed. As someone who likes history I was slightly disappointed this book did not focus on the Civil War more but I think the awesome details about Lincoln’s young life and later life made up for that. I thought the story dragged at some points particularly towards the end because was not fighting vampires anymore. Throughout most of the book the vampire hunting the main focus but when the focus switches to the more political side of things I thought it became a bit slow and repetitive. I was particularly annoyed at how often Abe would say he is never going to hunt vampires again or that he would never leave his family again but then would do the opposite. Henry’s decision at the end of the book was fascinating for me and I enjoyed idea that vampires were involved in other parts of history not just Abe Lincoln’s life.

Shiver (Wolves of Mercy Falls)

Shiver - Maggie Stiefvater I thought this book was kind of slow at the beginning but the last 1/3 of the book really picks up the pace and makes me want to run out and get the next one!

Clockwork Prince (Infernal Devices)

Clockwork Prince - Cassandra Clare Great book and I can't wait for the next one!

Unconscious Crime: Mental Absence and Criminal Responsibility in Victorian London

Unconscious Crime: Mental Absence and Criminal Responsibility in Victorian London - Joel Peter Eigen Not was I was expecting but still an intersting read.

The World of Downton Abbey

The World of Downton Abbey - Jessica Fellowes I thought this book was great. It gave a lot of interesting details about the show and the history behind it. If you know anything about this time period it will be interesting but will probably cover some things that you already know. I found the fashion chapter one of the most interesting because I knew very little about it.

The Lost Symbol (Dan Brown)

The Lost Symbol - Dan Brown I enjoyed this book but it took me a year to read. I just couldn't get into as much as some of Dan Brown's other books but once the action started really moving I really enjoyed it. This was also much darker than I expected.

The Fault in Our Stars

The Fault in Our Stars - John Green I love this book. Love love love love it.

City of Glass (Mortal Instruments)

City of Glass - Cassandra Clare This book was great! I always get to a point in Cassandra Clare's books where I can't put them down and I have to read right up to the last pagge!

Death du Jour (Temperance Brennan, #2)

Death du Jour (Temperance Brennan, #2) - Kathy Reichs This started a little slow but until it finished it was just amazing.

Magic Steps (The Circle Opens, Book 1)

Magic Steps - Tamora Pierce I'm not quite as fond of the Circle series as I am of the series set in Tortall so I enjoy them but I do not love them. This story was a bit different than the first series but still written very well and it pulls you in! I read it in one day!

Gossip Girl #7: Nobody Does It Better: A Gossip Girl Novel

Nobody Does it Better - Cecily von Ziegesar This books are beginning to be more bothersome to read than interesting. The story line doesn't move along at all from book to book.

Anna and the French Kiss

Anna and the French Kiss - Stephanie Perkins It was a very cute story but a little repetitive. I really liked it overall.

Update: February 2013
I don't know what i was thinking when i wrote my review! The more I read this book the more I liked it and I picked it up several times during 2012. I would either read parts of it or the whole book all over again. It was fantastic and I am so excited to get my hands on Lola and the Boy Next Door.
